Trusting Everything He Does

Recently God has brought to my mind Psalms 33:4, “For the Word of the Lord holds true and we can trust everything He does.” Joel and I have faced the frustration and discouragement of dealing with a legal system that often does not make sense, and is clearly inconsistent. It is hard to know how to respond when the same person in authority over Joel tells him two different things at different times. And naturally we feel helpless to know what to do or even how to respond to these inconsistencies.  The sense of powerlessness can become overwhelming. But God continues to graciously remind us that His word holds true.

I wish I had some confident expectation for a speedy resolution to the struggles we are now facing. But I don’t. I have asked God to give me some peace, some confidence of  a brighter future. Instead God has reminded me that He is the one who holds the future and I can trust EVERYTHING He does. I don’t know when or even if  the restrictions that keep Joel from rejoining our family will be lifted. But instead of trepidation, God is calling me to hope. To accept the the unknowns, and believe Him for everything, to know I can trust everything He does.

  • Thank you Tabitha for continuing to share your journey with us. The principles that our Gracious GOD is teaching you, apply to us all. I needed this reminder today and will continue to pray for you and your precious family. Eternal Blessings sprout from unbearable hardship, if we are willing to let the Master Gardener tend our hearts.
