Joy Comes in the Morning….
Tomorrow morning my family and I will travel to Jesup for the last time! We will be at the prison at 1:30 to receive Joel when he is released between 2 and 2:30. I cannot express the range of emotions we are experiencing. Anticipation, eager expectation, and yes some trepidation. Tomorrow we enter into a new phase of this journey. So many things are about to change in our lives–many for the better but change is always a bit unsettling, especially when there is a myriad of unknowns.
That’s why I am so thankful for the things we do know:
God is good and does only good.(Psalms 119:68)
He goes before us and makes the crooked places straight. (Isa 41: 3)
Love suffers long and is kind. (1 Cor. 13:4-6)
The joy of the Lord is your strength. (Nehemiah 8:7)
He works all things together for good. (Romans 8:28) and
Sorrow may last for the night, but joy comes in the morning… (Psalm 30:5)
I am so thankful to God for the truth of His Word that inspires me with confident expectation and fills me with hope. Tomorrow is a day of hopes fulfilled. I am incapable of truly expressing the gratitude I feel to my Savior for His faithfulness and enduring love.
